Helichrysum revolutum flowerheads

The flowerheads of Helichrysum revolutum grow in dense, flat-topped clusters. Each flowerhead comprises a compact bunch of tiny disc flowers, coloured dull yellow to dark yellow. Also the generally straw-coloured involucral bracts surrounding the discs show some colour variations across the plant’s distribution range. The multiple rows of involucral bracts create a bell-shaped form for the flowerhead below the flat, disc floret top. The involucral bracts do not spread, and the top row is level with the florets.
