The narrow, linear leaves of Merciera leptoloba spread, covering the stems densely, ascending slightly. The leaves are about 2 cm long. The plant was photographed in December near Botrivier (Bean and Johns, 2005; Burman and Bean, 1985; www.theplantlist.org).
