    Author: Ivan Lätti

These white Sparaxis grandiflora subsp. fimbriata flowers were seen in Onrus in spring. The flower centre has a little yellow patch below the erect white anthers and the branched style. The flower centres may also be dark in colour. A dark coloured bud above the flowers on the zigzagging spike shows the colouring sometimes found on the outer tepal surfaces (iSpot; www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
