    This stand of young Terminalia sericea trees is a typical sight of the species in habitat. T. sericea trees are also often seen in association with other sandy soil Combretaceae trees, such as T. prunioides, Combretum collinum and C. apiculatum subsp. apiculatum..

    The leaves of the silver cluster-leaf are browsed by elephant, giraffe, kudu, impala and goats (Carr, 1974; Coates Palgrave, 2002; Grant, Thomas and Van Gogh, 2001).
