    Pteronia glauca stems curving down

    These stems of Pteronia glauca curve downwards, are even growing adventitious roots to anchor their tips in the ground. The plant was seen on the Minwater farm near Oudtshoorn in August.

    The elliptic leaves curve inwards slightly along their margins. Young stems are brown, old ones grey (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010).
