    The flowers of Lessertia thodei grow in many-flowered racemes from leaf axils. Flowers are pink with parallel, dark lines across the corolla. The pointed sepals are hairy and purplish brown in colour as the upper young stems (iSpot; JSTOR; www.redlist.sanbi.org).
