    Crassula hemisphaerica or miskoekie
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The stalk bearing the annual inflorescence of Crassula hemisphaerica sprouts from the centre of the rosette, the elongation of the same stem that also carries the leaves. This scape is straight and smooth.

After having flowered, the leaves appear slightly paler, tired from the exertion of producing the food that nurtured flower production, but above all, the setting of seeds (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010).
