    Euphorbia tenax stem-tip cyathia

    Euphorbia tenax stem-tip cyathia

    These stem-tip cyathia of Euphorbia tenax are small and yellow. They were seen in April near Oudtshoorn. The cyathium is cup-shaped with tiny hairs right at the base, otherwise hairless. This is thought to be a female plant having branched, diverging styles above the ring of yellow glands (JSTOR).
