Arctotis arctotoides leaves are lyre-shaped, lobed and toothed; and variable to boot, judging from the range of published plant photos.
The upper leaf surface is fresh or pale green and almost hairless; the lower one white-felted from a dense coating of soft hairs. Leaf midribs, dark near the base and some lateral veins are visible upon upper surfaces, slightly recessed. Leaves become 10 cm to 15 cm long, their margins wavy (Manning, 2009; Gledhill, 1981; iSpot; www.plantzafrica.com).
