The two to eight leaves of Aerangis mystacidii are distichous, growing in opposite vertical ranks. The flat leaves are dark green and leathery or slightly fleshy. They are shaped oblong, oblanceolate or obovate, terminating in unequally bilobed tips. Leaf dimensions are 8 cm to 13 cm by 2 cm to 4 cm (Pooley, 1998; www.orchidspecies.com; www.africanorchids.dk).
