The large green leaves of Chlorophytum krookianum ascend in a dense rosette. They are broad, long and lance-shaped, tapering to acute tips. Leaf dimensions are 1,4 m by 9 cm.

The hairless and soft green leaves are channelled, their margins entire. The leaf often folds down abruptly when overcome by gravity, as in the photo. Chlorophytum comes from the Greek words chloros meaning green and phuton meaning plant (Pooley, 1998).
