The Witpoortjie Waterfall in the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden is a natural feature within easy reach of citizens of Johannesburg and its surrounds. The violent rush of its permanent flow, white water dropping 70 m, brings serene respite for city dwellers, each committed to private challenges of personal rat race laps.

The setting of peaceful green vegetation that continually does wondrous things by following each season’s prompt, promises memorable hours to all.

All ages are represented in the few or many other visitors around, reminding of life that has been and what is to come; reflected in the renewing and ageing plant life all around.
