Some gardeners would shun hybrids for planting in their home gardens, especially the unusual or unnatural looking ones developed horticulturally. Others would embrace them, prefer them.

The flowers and growth characteristics are, however, usually carefully selected to please florists and gardeners. And there is an abundance of hybrids occurring naturally in the veld.

Peoples responses to and relationships with nature are as diverse as our personal styles, temperaments and unpredictable whims.

    De gustibus non est disputandum!
