Aloe vanbalenii raceme

Aloe vanbalenii flower colours vary from buff yellow and orange to dully red. The inflorescence may be few-branched.

This plant is among the more attractive and easy to grow garden plants. Offshoots can be used. Try it in rocky places with good drainage, compost and full sun. It tends to spread and becomes a conspicuous member of its "neighbourhood". Cold winds can do damage. 

The Zulus of the plant's homeland call it iCenalamatshe or iCenandhlovu (Frandsen, 2017; Van Wyk and Smith, 2003; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
