Centella triloba, varkoortjies

The simple, wedge-shaped leaves of Centella triloba are mid-green and hairless, growing in tufts. Leaf shape is obovate, i.e. wider near the tip than the base. The leaf tapers at the base, broadens towards its angular apical teeth. Showing mostly three teeth at the leaf tips in picture, leaves may have up to nine teeth. The leaves become 2 cm to 5 cm long, their stalks adding up to another 6 cm (Bean and Johns, 2005).
