If your leaves can see the sun sufficiently for decent photosynthesis, life is good. A share of the sea view, space for a little dancing in the breeze and offering landing rights to interesting birds and insects are all bonuses of a grand, really green lifestyle.

The deep brown is flowers of Salvia africana-lutea. Much of this dense growth is around a metre high, presenting ample shelter to small mammals, birds and much else.
