    Anisodontea reflexa leaves

    Anisodontea reflexa leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The thick, ovate leaves of Anisodontea reflexa are five-lobed with toothed margins. The midrib is sunken on the upper surface, as are the lateral veins that ascend into the lobes. Leaf colour is pale grey-green with a dense covering of hairs. The leaf dimensions are 5 cm long and 3 cm wide.

In picture, the lower lobes have conspicuously deep folds, the closely clustered leaves undulating like montane landscape (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
