    Metalasia cymbifolia is a spreading fynbos shrub with erect stems and terminal pink flowers in winter and spring. It grows to heights around 50 cm and can be found in nature around Caledon, Hermanus and Bredasdorp. It resembles M. cephalotes, M. confusa and M. riparia (Bean and Johns, 2005).
