    The short-stalked leaves of Crassothonna cylindrica may also spread, not always remaining erect. They are well spaced up the dull brown to pale grey stems on this young plant. The leaves are alternate to sub-opposite on the erect stems (Le Roux, et al, 2005; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
