    Lacomucinaea lineata stems and microleaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

These blue-grey stems resemble those of Cadaba aphylla, but the presence of tiny leaves indicates that it is Lacomucinaea lineata, previously Thesium lineatum, the witstorm instead of the swartstorm.

Neither white nor black, the stems are blue-green to grey-green or turquoise. The plant was seen in the Addo Elephant Park during August (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010).
