Dimorphotheca cuneata is a rounded shrublet reaching heights from 50 cm to 1m.
The white daisy flowerheads presented on stalks long enough to be well above the leaves have yellow disc florets. In the photo the obovate white ray-florets have pointed tips and purplish bases.
The species distribution is widespread in the west, south and central of South Africa, these plants found in the Northern Cape, the Western Cape, the Eastern Cape, the Free State and North West.The photo was taken near Ceres.
The habitat is diverse, tending to arid, karoid flats, stony ridges and north-facing slopes where the soil is clayey. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2009; iSpot; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
