Vachellia karroo ample fruit production

This profuse crop of Vachellia karroo pods on a tree in Mjejane on the Crocodile River are straight to slightly curved. The pod surfaces still green here have a hint of velvety hairiness. The photo was taken in April.

The regular constrictions between every pair of bulging seed is occasionally more pronounced where a seed has failed to develop.
