    The dense stem-tip flowerheads of Hermbstaedtia glauca comprise many small, bisexual flowers, from mauve-pink to cream on their five petals. A flowerhead becomes about 2,5 cm in diameter. Flowering occurs in midwinter to midspring.

    The fruit capsule is included in the perianth (Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
