Kirkia wilmsii autumn leaves

Kirkia wilmsii, the mountain kirkia, produces some of the breath-taking autumn spectacles of the bushveld. Some years the conditions are just right for extravagant festivities.

This stand of rounded canopies displays their range of fall colours among the green of other trees near Roossenekal (Coates Palgrave, 2002).
