    Dawn and dusk

    Dawn and dusk
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Jack Lätti

During the arrival and departure of daylight the Quiver Tree Forest is all silhouette against the sky, the tree outlines stark. Colour and texture of leaf and stem that dominated during daytime are gone.

Imagine this deathly quiet place on a moonlit night. Eerie transformation of already unreal figures into a host of true aliens gathered in ritual. Unsettling and spine-chilling, but a compulsive thought of checking the calendar for a return visit at the next full moon persists.
