Cheiridopsis denticulata fading into colour

Only few flowers of this Cheiridopsis denticulata plant represent the pale yellow petals of the newly opened flower around a white or slightly yellowish centre. Ageing intensifies colour in this case instead of diminishing it (Smith, et al, 1998; Herre, 1971; iNaturalist).
