Euphorbia mauritanica performing in yellow is part of the Namaqualand spring pageant. Numerous stem-tip flowers light up the rounded shapes while other species harbour different plans.

The shrub-covered hillsides offer a different bloomtime experience to the instantly spectacular, monocoloured daisy flower expanses of previously cultivated fields. This kind of presentation may be more subdued until the stroller's reward is delivered in a series of diverse surprises.

This is also where the small, sun-shy succulents and bulbs may be spotted in their sheltered nooks.
