    Author: Ivan Lätti

The stubby Cotula turbinata flowerhead comprises three types of florets, all fertile.

The few rays grow in one ring around the disc with gaps between them. The female ray florets are actually four-lobed, only the outer one elongated and conspicuous.

The outer disc florets have pedicels but no corollas. The many inner rows of disc florets have four-lobed corollas (Manning, 007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; Wikipedia; http://pza.sanbi.org).
