This Pelargonium scabrum flower flaunts seven stamens bearing oblong anthers, the filaments of several lengths. The anthers are two-lobed, orange brown to pale purple in different stages of ripeness.
Pointed, green buds nod close by, part of the same flower cluster and waiting their turn under cover of narrow, hairy sepals beginning to part in their fine tips. Upper stem-leaves appear attentive, proud of the team achievement.
The kink in the bud's pedicel suggest that this may be P. ribifolium, but the flower is not white. There may be something in the plant's ancestry not quite straightforward (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
