This nemesia flower resembles Nemesia cheiranthus but for the colour of its lower lip. The photo was taken in August at Matjiesfontein near Nieuwoudtville. Maybe another form of the same plant, a hybrid or a species not properly identified?

Similar flowers with white lower lips and white spurs are also seen. The lower lip may also be white with the pair of lip bulges and sometimes the bottom margin yellow, or the upper lip uniformly blue purple. On the iNaturalist website all of these are regarded to be N. cheiranthus (Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
