    The long, slender pedicels of Osteospermum amplectens present their flowerheads in lax panicles.

    The buds are covered by two rows of deep green, narrow, pointed involucral bracts with fringed, membranous margins and rough surfaces.

    The bracts are short compared to the grown rays, their tips tending to curl outwards from the backs of the open rays (Le Roux, et al, 2005; JSTOR; iNaturalist).
