    The flowers of Ipomoea carnea grow solitary or in small groups from leaf axils. They are pale pink, darker in the centre, the mouth of the funnel-shaped tube where the whitish anthers and possibly the stigma lobes are visible. The corolla is about 10 cm in diameter.
