    The large, many-flowered inflorescences of Nuxia oppositifolia are more spectacular at stem-tips than among upper leaf axils. They sometimes converge into joint presentations.

    Overall flowering of the tree takes longer than individual inflorescences, while shorter sequencing of florets does occur within each (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000).
