Erica walkeri old flowers

The large flowers of Erica walkeri grow in dense stem-tip clusters. The sepals are large, bulging and keeled near their pointed tips.

The corollas are urn-shaped and pink in different shades. The corolla lobes are triangular and in picture appear like white clothes that need ironing. This may be because the flowers in picture are already old, the tubes turned brown, or the lobes are white, the tubes pink.

Flowering happens from late winter to after midspring (Manning and Helme, 2024; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; JSTOR).
