    The bisexual Olea capensis subsp. capensis flowers are small, white or cream and fragrant. The four petals have pointed tips that recurve around the corolla mouth in mature flowers; in picture still spreading.

    The upper inflorescence branches are four-angled and ridged (Venter, 2011; Coates Palgrave, 2002; Van Wyk and Van Wyk, 1997).
