Cheiridopsis brownii flower

The short-stalked flowers of Cheiridopsis brownii grow solitary from stem-tips. They produce about two whorls of narrow yellow to straw-coloured petals, spreading to about 4 cm in corolla diameter.
Numerous stamens are erect in the flower centre. The filaments are white, the anthers yellow and there are at least ten stigmas. Flowers are mostly seen late in autumn. The flat-topped capsule has between ten and twenty locules (Frandsen, 2017; Williamson, 2010; iNaturalist; http://llifle.com).
