Look below the Felicia bergeriana flowerhead and it’s all a rather hairy affair! The green bud peduncle, not yet erect, is as hairy as the purple one that upholds the putative flowerhead above the picture.
The bud tip is dark where the bracts are parting, the increased hairiness there no longer able to prevent imminent floral revelation.
The narrow, mostly round-tipped leaves with sunken midribs have hairs looking soft and similar to those found elsewhere on the plant (Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
