At this late floral stage of the Felicia bergeriana flowerhead in picture the involucral bracts are well shorter than the elongated florets. The dried, whitish bract tips are even lower than the furled rays losing their blue.
The tall disc florets are no longer yellow, but their out-curving corolla tube lobes are still visible in some cases. In the partly visible young head below, the bract tips are faintly red, the observable rays erect, not yet spreading and the disc florets yellow (Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
