Ehretia amoena being productive

A profusion of buds, flowers and green fruit of Ehretia amoena is present here. The flowers grow in multiple panicles on new branches or spur-branchlets. Panicles in various stages of development grow side by side on the same branch.

The small olive-green buds are pointed. The open flowers are white with spreading stamens. The spherical green berries are shiny, the styles still retained at their tips where slight indentations are visible. The fruits grow in drooping clusters.

The few leaves present in the photo display very different shades of green (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002).
