Erica glandulosa subsp. fourcadei flowers grow on long pedicels in stem-tip clusters. Three flowers in picture have already developed but the cluster holds at least four more that may perform later. The corolla tubes are longitudinally ridged, curved or bent.

Hair colour on the sepals is different, red purple to brownish instead of white, also longer and tipped with glands. The narrowly oblong sepals are long and thin, also differently coloured to the leaves and some white on the outside. The opposite bracteoles close to the flowers on the longish pedicels are much smaller than the sepals.

Flowering occurs from late autumn until spring. The photo was taken at Nature’s Valley during May (Manning and Helme, 2024; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Baker and Oliver, 1967; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
