The cyathia, flowers or false flowers of Euphorbia natalensis grow stalked in terminal and sometimes branching clusters of about 5 cm in diameter. The conspicuous parts of a cyathium are the two large, rounded bracts that are yellow green tinted red purple around the other floral components. Flowering happens from late winter to after midautumn (Pooley, 1998; Trauseld, 1969; iNaturalist).
