    The oblong to linear-oblong leaflets of Lessertia argentea are short-petioluled to sessile with notched, mucronate or blunt tips. The blade halves are partly folded in along the midrib and sometimes also slightly in-curved, the margins whitish.

    The blades are dark green on top, paler below and little to no hairiness on top while much below. The short, whitish hairs are appressed to the leaf surfaces (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; JSTOR).
