    Jamesbrittenia aurantiaca branches much from the base. The slender young shoots covered in glandular hairs may be erect or decumbent as these spreading in picture.

    The flowers are long-stalked. Several empty calyces have already lost their corollas. The flower colour of the species is variable, apart from the orange including red, pink and brownish (Pooley, 1998; Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iNaturalist).
