Crassula tomentosa var. tomentosa about to bloom

Soon to flower, Crassula tomentosa var. tomentosa grows a tall flowering stalk with beady bud clusters spaced up it in decussate leaf axils.

Where the bud clusters start to dominate higher up the leaves size decrease rapidly, joined by tinier leaves on bud-laden side-branchlets (Frandsen, 2017; Smith, et al, 2017; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
