This unusual Hermannia of the Cape Columbine beach area has pinnate, succulent leaves and a fragrance that may land it the name, Hermannia orgasmiodorata when all the botanical preparations and procedures are concluded.
The shiny, ascending tips of the pinnae or leaflets are flattened or hollowed on top, pale to yellow green or red-brown in colour.
The plant is a sprawling perennial, adapted to sea-spray, salty sand and full sun.
