Albuca nelsonii blooming starts

The flowers of Albuca nelsonii are produced in a many-flowered, unbranched raceme. Each flower pedicel emerges above an about triangular, acutely tipped bract that is white with a pointed green tip, prominent and erect when in bud or while the flower is young. The pedicels become long, nearly erect as the flowers mature. The peduncle below is sturdy and green.

The flowers are white with green bands down the outer tepal surfaces. The inner tepals remain erectly together, the outer three open and spread in the familiar Albuca fashion. A flower is about 3 cm long.
