An Aristea bakeri flower centre may be yellow or greenish cream. The six tepals spread in two concentric whorls of three from their pale bases, blue higher up and widening notably in the tepal parts visible in the photo. Some parallel veins and some spreading ones that also branch are darker blue across the tepal surfaces.

The three oblong anthers in picture are old, no longer yellow. The style is angled away from the flower centre, indistinctly visible against the lowermost tepal in picture. Its small stigma is dark and unlobed (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; iNaturalist).
