The brown markings on the Arctotis fastuosa rays are fairly light-coloured here, not positioned quite at the ray bases. The markings are raggedly shaped along their upper and lower margins.
The visitors, like mother and son, have apparently not stuck to the bargain of pollination only, judging from the nibbled rays. Rules that haven’t been made can’t be broken (Manning, 2009; Eliovson, 1990; iNaturalist).
