Seen up close, the flowers of Agathosma species nova (arida) reveal their superior ovaries above the clawed petal bases. The filaments of the stamens also arise from below the ovaries.
The younger anthers have a paler, creamy colour from pollen that may still be viable. Older anthers are browner and shrunken.
The styles are harder to see but their positioning on top of the ovaries give clues where to look. The stigmas are minute (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
