    The flowers of Agathosma odoratissima grow solitary or in pairs from upper leaf axils. They may be white, mauve or purple, sometimes with darker coloured dots scattered along the upper parts of the five petals. The conspicuous stamens, longer than the petals, spread widely; here seen with variously coloured anthers. Flowering happens from end winter to early autumn.

    The shiny green fruit, here topped conspicuously with horns, may have from three to five chambers (Bean and Johns, 2005; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot; www.redlist.sanbi.org).
